R. degronianum ssp. heptamerum (Metternichii) Web SpecialsThis lovely species is known by most as R. metternichii, but has been re classified as R. degronianum ssp. heptamerum. The plant is very hardy, to 15 degrees F, and will grow best in partial shade. One can expect this plant to be 3 4 feet tall and a bit wider in 10 years. The flowers appear in late March to early April and are a light pink in color. The foliage is narrow, dark shiny green, with velvety indumentum on the undersides. Hardy to zone 5b.
