Foxen Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley Bien Nacido Vineyard-Block Eight 2019 (750ml) LazioWinemaker Notes Exclusively planted for Foxen in 1996 by Bien Nacido Vineyard, the eleven acre Block 8 sits on the highest point and one of the steepest sections of this Santa Maria Bench vineyard. Upon harvest, the grapes are whole berry destemmed into small, open top fermenters as individual clonal lots, where they see a 2 day maceration. The wine ages for 16 months in French oak, of which 44% is new. The wine is bottled within fining or filtration.
